These web pages contain links and resources for states in varying stages of planning and implementing early childhood development initiatives. The pages are a work in progress and information will be added to each section over time. Please continue to check back for updates and new information. The field is changing so rapidly and we now have many models and resources to help us learn from each other. Please help us by giving feedback on what was helpful and what was not and by sharing other links and resources you would like to have added.
The pages have been organized to complement the Early Childhood Systems Working Group’s Core Elements of an Early Childhood Development System. Core Elements are the fundamental structure and function that make the ECD System, including all of the four sets of services (1-Early Learning, 2-Family Support, 3-Health, Mental Health and Nutrition and 4-Special Needs/Early Intervention), possible.
